Creator's Voice (Touch!DS): An interview with Hiromichi Tanaka and Tomoya Asano. Touches on some design decisions for the remake as well as the influences that III had on Final Fantasy XI (and vice-versa).
G-Wie-Gorilla: An interview with Hiromichi Tanaka. He speaks not only on Final Fantasy III and XI, but also a bit on Secret of Mana, which he worked on with Koichi Ishii after III.
Computer and Video Games : A brief interview with Hiromichi Tanaka. Mentions Square's initial sales estimates for the remake (300,000), why they emphasised a single screen during combat and dungeons and includes a mention of the original plan for the 3D remake to target the PS2.

Play, Issue 56, August 2006: Features an interview with Hiromichi Tanaka where he goes into detail about certain elements, such as the decision to use one screen for gameplay, Akihito Yoshida's involvement, Why Koichi Ishii was not involved with the project and drawing a further link between III and Secret of Mana by briefly mentioning that ideas that went unused for III were repurposed for that game.
